Aye Write! Glasgow's Book Festival, 9-17 March 2012.

Maggie will be reading from When the Clyde Ran Red as part of a two-hour session on Glasgow and Clyde on Thursday March 15, from 19.30-21.30.

Read an interview with Maggie on her take on Radical politics today with David Innes of Aberdeen Voice.

When the Clyde Ran Red earned a 5-star review in the Press and Journal, with reviewer Roddy Phillips describing the book as "a fascinating social and poliical history of Glasgow", and further suggesting: "Hopefully a copy has found its way to the Scottish Parliament, where it should be compulsory reading."

The Sunday Herald says of the When the Clyde Ran Red: "Her emphasis on the role of women in the Singer strike, the rent strike and the Suffrage movement is a powerful corrrective to the existing literature, much of which is men writing about other men", describing the book also as 'a moving story told with enthusiasm and full of timely reminders about history and repetition."
